The United White
Shepherd Club is for members that love their White Shepherd.
(Or, should we say
White Shepherds since many of us have more than one!)
 The UWSC
publishes a regular newsletter and, in each and every issue, our
members are
allowed to showcase
their White Shepherd in a FREE half page advertisement. This enables our
members to watch puppies grow up, celebrate birthdays, celebrate titles earned, or share
litter announcements.
We also have fun activities that are coordinated through the
newsletter such as our annual Happy Howl-O-Ween photo contest.

The UWSC has a Yahoo
Group for members only. This is another way to get to know
other White
Shepherd owners,
learn more about our breed, be made aware of upcoming events, etc.
The UWSC encourages our
members to exhibit their dogs in United Kennel Club (UKC) events such as Agility, Family
Obedience, Weight Pull, Dock Diving, and/or Conformation.
After all, any
time with your
White Shepherd should be rewarding, especially when it's a team effort.
 The UWSC is family
oriented and hosts not only show and obedience events but we also enjoy
initiating FUN events
like our September 2005 Herding Instinct test (with sheep!), offering Canine Good Citizen
tests, Petite Puppy competitions, Therapy Dog tests, and Junior
Handling (all
kids welcome).
Best of all, our
members LOVE food <grin> and socializing which have
resulted in some of the best BBQ's ever at the
annual UKC Premier.

register YOUR white-coated AKC or CKC registered German Shepherd Dog with the United Kennel
Club's White Shepherd registry, simply call the UKC offices at 616-343-9020 and they
will assist you with getting the appropriate forms.

Our
Mission
The
United Kennel
Club (UKC) recently recognized the White Shepherd as a separate breed.
As of January 1, 2000, White Shepherds began competing in all UKC
events. These UKC events include Obedience, Agility, and Conformation.
Additionally, White Shepherds are eligible for Top Ten Best of Breed
recognition. The UWSC was formed to protect, promote, and advance the
best interests and welfare of purebred White Shepherds as well as to
continue to bring their natural qualities to perfection through quality
breeding practices. The club also seeks to promote worldwide acceptance
of the White Shepherd as a separate and distinct breed of working and
herding dog. The UWSC is the breed’s official parent club for
the
United Kennel Club, Inc. (UKC)
About
Us
 We
are breeders, trainers, exhibitors, and pet owners, united to promote
the White Shepherd dog. Our members are scattered throughout
the US and Canada. We subscribe to the the UKC
“Total Dog” concept and encourage participation in
all UKC events. Our dogs show their diversity by being titled
in the following: Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Herding,
Flyball, Water Rescue, Pet Therapy, Police Work, and Search &
Rescue.
Our
members are varied and have expertise in a wide variety of dog
activities. We are here to help newcomers to the world of dogs find
their niche and assist with any questions/problems along the way!
