United White Shepherd Club 2005 President Diana Updike President Message Oct. 2005     Letter from the Pres...     Our Club held it's annual September UKC Multi-Breed show weekend - 4 conformation shows and 2 obedience trials - in Hamlet, Indiana.  (We offered every UKC breed class with the exception of Belgian Sheepdogs as they are judged differently.)  We also offered the coveted "Total Dog Award" which is earned by receiving both a qualifying score in obedience and winning a top honor in conformation on the same day.     To add to the mix, Trail Creek hosted Agility trials, our own Arlene offered Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Certification tests, and Kelly Malone came in from Ohio and offered Sheep Herding Instinct tests.  There was definitely something for everyone!     It was a very busy and hectic weekend but well worth the energy and hard work.  There wasn't a member that didn't get roped into helping in some way or the other.  And, for that, I am very grateful.  Our collectice teamwork made these events very rewarding and successful.  (Thank-you, All!)     I encourage everyone to mark your calendars for next year's event as we try and out do ourselves again. (smile)  Also, just a quick reminder, our United White Shepherd Club is hosting a Specialty Show on December 9th at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds.
